I'm back!

Hi guys! Sorry it's been so long since you heard from me. I miss you guys commenting and all. I am almost done my course and I will hopefully complete the last assignment this next week. Any way today was Friday yet again and I had some very great people over to our house. I made: rice, scones, vegetable soup, chicken fillet, steak sauce and of course a salad and some dressing. I wish there was some pics to go with this post but the camera is out of order . Here is the recipe for the steak sauce, it's one of my favorites, enjoy:

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons raspberry jam
  • 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons malt vinegar
  • 25 drops hot pepper sauce
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a saucepan over high heat, blend raspberry jam, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, malt vinegar, hot pepper sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat to low, and simmer 10 minutes, or until thickened.
Does that sound good or does it sound great? Do try it, you will not be disappointed.

Ooh, chicken fillet sounds fancy - what is it? (Pls. forgive any dumbness.) Also, I've never heard of malt vinegar - is it easy to find?

Happy you're back & posting, even if all I can do is ask dumb Qs (& if I may say so, these little flower bullets r cute! :)

Use what ever vinegar you have. I never use all the things they tell you to. Some times it's that they use really expensive things other times it's becasue the things aren't found in Markets here and some time, seing as any one can post on this site, i change it cos I don't like their recipe the way it is. PTL. All that thatto say i like all recipes, you just need to know how to cook so that you dont make something gnarly.

Then how about just posting it w/ whatever alterations u made? That might make it easier for ppl who don't know how to cook! :)
